Music Plays from
CD-ROM Drive with No Audio Cable Installed
When you put a CD-ROM in a CD-ROM drive that you usually use for data CD-ROMs, you may notice that the CD-ROM plays the sound files on that CD-ROM even though there is not an audio cable attached to that CD-ROM drive. This behavior can occur if your sound card driver supports Digital Audio Extraction functionality.
To work around this behavior, disable the Digital CD Audio feature in the properties of the CD-ROM drive:
