Secure RPC over SSL Component Description The Secure Remote Procedure Call (RPC) over Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) component facilitates making remote procedure calls using the SChannel SSPI for authentication and privacy protection. This component is not required to make non-secured remote procedure calls. Other Secure RPC components provide different SSPI capabilities for RPC; developers generally include one or more Secure RPC components to secure remote procedure calls.

Special Notes

Each RPC component provides a specific RPC capability. Many developers will find it necessary to include multiple RPC components. If an RPC function is called, but the RPC component exposing that function is not installed, the function call fails.
