ICW The Internet Connection Wizard (ICW) component provides the ability to configure an Internet connection via network or dial-up device. ICW also provides the ability to sign-up for a new dial-up Internet Connection via the Microsoft Referral Server.

Several parts of Windows, for example, Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player, use ICW to determine if an Internet connection exists and to create one if the connection is missing.
